I’m printing and building Ericthepoolboy’s Toyota 22R drivetrain.

My brother printed all the transmission and transfer case parts on his Prusa Mini and I caught the bug and bought a Creality K1 Max. I wanted the size and didn’t want or need multi material and didn’t want to pay X1 or Prusa Max money not dis I want to wait on the Prusa.

I decided the included pistons (gray in the picture) were neither detailed enough or realistic enough for me so I modeled X-beam rods and Weisco relieved pistons. I printed a batch and they aren’t as clean as I hoped.

I’ve done the embedded calibration prints but my actual model prints don’t look nearly as sharp as the calibration prints. There’s so many settings I don’t really know what to nudge.

I’m printing at 215C, 0.1 layer height, using narrow tree supports.
