I purchased an Ender 3 pro about 5 years ago and it has been an amazing printer for me. I made a few modifications like upgraded the motherboard to silence the stepper motors and a few other parts. I don’t print much, and when I do, it’s random things to help around the house. I’ve never had a print fail and have never had a print not adhere to the bed.

I see a lot of posts about the ender 3 pro getting shit on, but I can’t see why. It’s almost like there are other printers out there that will be life changing for me. Is that the case? I like modern, but not being modern just for the sake of being modern. I’m not sure what improvement I could experience because I don’t know what options are out there though. I think I’m $350 deep in this printer, and I’ve never had an issue, so I think the value has been awesome so far.

I wouldn’t mind looking into multi color printing or a larger/taller bed eventually. I also wouldn’t want to spend a ton because I only use the thing a few times a year.
