Metal laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) manufacturer Velo3D has signed an Intellectual Property License and Support Services Agreement with leading private launch firm SpaceX. The agreement grants SpaceX a non-exclusive license to the entirety of Velo3D’s additive manufacturing technologies. SpaceX will pay $5 million for the deal, with an additional $3 million for support services related to the contract.
